London and Milton Keynes
This business-critical role will go a long way towards shaping the future of procurement within the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). While Management Information (MI) is always vital to the effectiveness of the procurement function, much greater emphasis is now being placed on its accuracy, timeliness and rigour.
The Role
Working to the Head of Procurement Performance Management, you will be developing and delivering reporting on the status of a variety of key procurement metrics across the FCO and using those reports as a tool to drive improvements in performance and wider cultural change in line with the strategic direction of the Procurement Group, Cabinet Office and HM Treasury. Assurance, accuracy and consistency are the watchwords. You will need to be able to travel regularly between London and Milton Keynes and occasional overseas travel is also possible.
The Person
Degree qualified in a numerate-based discipline, you will be comfortable with data analysis and presentation and have a solid grounding in project management technique, including familiarity with Prince2. Equally important, you will have a good track record of stakeholder engagement with well developed influence skills. An ability to think strategically beyond data collection towards a change management approach is essential.
